Hi, I’m Aryn! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I enjoy working with individuals aged 6 years to young adult stage. My strengths are in empowering the individuals I work with to explore and find solutions that work for them. Individuals I work with may be struggling with a variety life challenges including school, family and peer relationships, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and trauma.
I specialize in working with individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ and really enjoy serving this community. Many times these individuals are seeking a non-judgemental atmosphere to openly and comfortably discuss their experiences and process with a professional. I can provide LGBT-specific therapy for individuals who may be on their identity journey, or therapy for individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ and are experiencing other mental health concerns.
In working with my individuals, I use Person-Centered Approach, Art-Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I strive to be a culturally sensitive therapist who provides a creative, non-judgmental atmosphere for the individuals I work with. I use trauma-informed practice and strive to make sure individuals are empowered to engage in their therapeutic process.
More About Me
I am a life-long learner, so I am always finding ways to take in new information. I love to go to events in the community, read books, and watch TED Talks. I enjoy spending time with my spouse and fur babies by the river on weekends.
