Hi guys! I graduated from the Walden University, School of Social Work in 2021. I am a LCSW specializing in trauma working with children, adolescents and families, much of my work to date has been primarily geared toward improving upon the family structure within differing contexts. I am most familiar treating Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, ODD and DMDD.
How Can I help?
With a deep passion for helping families learn to communicate more effectively and assist young individuals with navigating varying challenges, I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate, effective therapy that empowers clients to understand the power of accountability and self-determination. I tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and supportive environment. I believe in the power of building strong therapeutic relationships to foster growth and healing. For those who have never experienced therapy, our first session will consist of gathering introductory information. This session gives me time to understand crucial dynamics and the parent time to start to build some comfort and rapport. We will discuss concerns, identify goals and develop a treatment plan. I am a firm believer that as the parent, though your children may not share everything with you, you are the expert of your child. Ongoing sessions will comprise of making progress towards those goals and adjust as needed to fit the needs of the client and family. I utilize Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF CBT), Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques throughout my sessions depending on the needs of client and family.
…Oh and there will generally be some homework.
