Kristine Benson, RN, LPC

Hello, my name is Kristine Benson, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Registered Nurse (RN), currently pursuing my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner(PMHNP) degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. With over a decade of experience in mental health care, 24 years of distinguished service as a U.S. Army officer, and a commitment to becoming a Registered Play Therapist, I am deeply passionate about making comprehensive and empathetic mental health services accessible to all.

How Can I Help

With a strong foundation in psychology, nursing, and military leadership, I provide integrated care that addresses the emotional, mental, and physical aspects of health. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups, supporting them through challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, relationship conflicts, and personal development. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness Techniques, I empower clients to achieve their goals.

My work is rooted in a strengths-based perspective, fostering resiliency, coping strategies, and emotional health. Whether in high-pressure environments like military installations or virtual platforms, my approach remains client-centered, compassionate, and collaborative. I tailor treatment to fit each client’s unique needs, ensuring they have the tools necessary for sustainable change.
