Susan Ruiz, LPC

Hello, my name is Susan, I graduated from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2008 with my bachelor’s degree in psychology and obtained my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2010. I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who specializes in areas such as mood disorders like depression, bipolar, schizophrenia disorders, and symptoms of anxiety, trauma, OCD, etc. I am fluent in Spanish. I have extensive experience working with people and children in different settings such as inpatient, outpatient, or in-home services with individual and family therapy and case management services. I use a combination of techniques such as CBT, MI, existential therapy, and play therapy.

How Can I help?

Over the years, I have realized the challenges we face when it comes to mental health and how difficult it is to decide to ask for guidance. As a mother of one child, I became passionate about helping children understand the challenges they are exposed to daily. I aim to help families and children empower themselves to enhance life perspectives. The importance of resilience, self-esteem, and communication skills are pivoted to better and more stable development. I’m looking forward to helping your children become the best version of themselves and giving them the necessary tools.
