My name is Angie Sheire and I am a licensed professional counselor with 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

I am born and raised in Marshall, Michigan and relocated to San Antonio, Texas in 2010. I began my career in psychology in 1995 working in a residential treatment facility for at-risk youth. Upon completion of my Master’s in Counseling, I began working in a Domestic Violence shelter for a few years, before leaving and working a number of years at a local Community Mental Health agency. I eventually joined the Crisis team at the Community Mental Health agency and worked with that team for awhile before relocating to Texas. Upon coming to Texas, I worked with The Gary Job Corp doing Substance Abuse counseling with young adults, then began to work at Laurel Ridge Hospital in San Antonio in their adolescent partial hospitalization program. Upon leaving that job to start school to obtain my PsyD in Clinical Psychology I took a position with United Behavioral Health’s Employee Assistance Program, doing phone counseling and triage. I currently am completing my internship at MindWorks New Braunfels, Texas office.

I live with my husband and step-son in Canyon Lake, Texas. In my free time I enjoy cooking/baking, playing with my 5 dogs, gardening and reading.
