Hello! My name is Cynthia (Cindy) Garza, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. In 2020, I earned a Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. Throughout my career, I have gained experience serving children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, trauma, and severe mental illness in a variety of mental health settings.
How I Can Help
For each client, I develop an individualized treatment plan consisting of an integrative approach to fit each client’s needs. The treatment modalities I primarily use are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, as well as play therapy, person-centered, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques. With a collaborative and empathetic approach, I use evidence-based interventions to best serve clients. I am a firm believer that within every individual is the capacity to overcome whatever they may be struggling with, and welcome clients to unlock their strengths and take control of their life.
More About Me
I enjoy many hobbies on my free time, including hiking, camping, spending time with our 3 Olde English Bulldogs, and playing tennis. Also, I love to travel and take road trips, and find new restaurants and cuisine to enjoy with my daughter and husband.
