Hello! My name is Dana Tiller and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years’ experience working with children and families. My experience includes working with children struggling with behavioral challenges at home and/or school, anger, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, trauma, school related challenges and military connected children and families.
Education and Experience:
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Texas State University where I discovered Play Therapy and found my passion of working with kids ages 3 years to 12 years. I am in the process of becoming a Registered Play Therapist, which has been a goal for many years! I have worked in a variety of settings to include in-patient psychiatric therapy, outpatient therapy, foster care and schools. I have worked as a teacher and school counselor in Comal ISD and most recently as a DoDEA school counselor on a military installation near Ramstein, Germany.
I believe relationship and connection are essential to helping people heal and change. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where children and their families feel valued and heard.
More About Me:
I am a native Texan who has called San Antonio home since 2005. I am married with 2 wonderful daughters, and we are moving back to Texas after living 7 years in Germany. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading mystery novels, spending time at the river and being an occasional gardener.
