Hi! I’m Evana A. Zamora, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who has had the honor of helping adults, adolescents, and children transition through difficulties that
come with life. I am a person-centered therapist who will help you find and use your voice in your most authentic self.
How I Can Help
Throughout my life, I have had a fascination with kaleidoscopes. It’s a beautiful concept of the therapeutic relationship. In order to understand the inner works of a person, you have to understand the different facets which make a person whole; just as a kaleidoscope. There are the lens/mirrors, which are formed by a person’s upbringing and the image disk of beads and glass, which encompasses the
experiences gained in their life. I can see the oil in the image disk, as a way of moving a person into their next season. As a counselor, I am simply seeing through the lens of their upbringing and into their current experience.
It is through being a psychotherapist, which kindled the light of the kaleidoscope in me. As I move into private practice, I am reminded of the countless kaleidoscopes I had the chance of counseling; adults with mood disorders, trauma – informed care, children of divorce, adolescents struggling with drug abuse, holding group sessions with young adults with body-image issues, behavior changes in children, eating disorders, couples, grief, and many others in between.
More About Me
I am a BIG foodie and love to try new cuisine in my spare time. Because of this, I also love being in the kitchen and making different recipes. You can find me at a farmers market, basketball court, or playing with watercolors, on any given day!
