Hi, everyone! My name is Keeley. Working with children has been a passion of mine since I decided to get into this field. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), am in the middle becoming certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and am working toward credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). I received my Masters of Science (MS) in clinical mental health counseling right here in San Antonio at the University of Texas at San Antonio. My background is working with kiddos that have a history of trauma combined with risky behavior. I enjoy supporting children ages 8 and older and am experienced in working with teens and families. I consider a child-centered approach to be the foundation of my work, through which I am able to build a relationship and tailor my approach to a child and family’s needs. I believe play not only builds therapeutic rapport which aids in progress but is a space where kids and teens can work through a multitude of distressing areas. I am committed to assisting clients experiencing distress from anxiety, depression, grief and loss, struggles with impulse control, trauma or abuse, behavioral or self-esteem issues, school-related stress, and life transitions.
More About Me
I am a dog lover and own three of my own fur babies (show me pictures of your dog). My husband and I are both in the mental health field. I grew up in small town but have called San Antonio home for years now. I am very grateful to be able to serve the community. During my free time, I enjoy watching documentaries, reading, listening to true crime podcasts, running (sometimes), and spending time with my family and friends.
