Hello my name is Venezia Cappellini-Ramirez I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with over 24 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. My experience includes working with individuals living with anger, stress, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder-(ADHD), behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, school-based concerns, and women’s wellness. I like to utilize cognitive behavioral, solution focused brief, client centered, and Adlerian therapy techniques which allow me to create an individualized treatment plan based on her client’s needs and identified goals.

Education and Work Experience

I earned a Masters” degree in Mental Health/Substance Abuse from St. Mary’s University, and has Bachelors’ in Child Psychology from Incarnate Word College (University of the Incarnate Word). My work experience includes working for the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) and for the Archdiocese of San Antonio School District which has allowed me to work with adolescents and families that experienced school-based issues. I also provided support and resources to families in the community.
Individual counseling is a personal decision to receive support and experience growth during a challenging period in their life. I can help someone cope with many personal topics in life such as ADHD, anger, depression, anxiety with the appropriate techniques and resources. My goal to help children and adolescents reach their full potential and be who they want to be in life. Life is what we make of it.

More about Me

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I have two young adults in college whom I am very proud of and two mixed Labrador retrievers who are very lovable. I enjoy the outdoors – hiking, swimming, and camping. I also enjoy traveling, listening to all kinds of music, to travel and exercise- power walking and yoga. My family is very close and I enjoy spending time with them, especially during the holidays.
