The Daring Way™ Teen Workshop

The Daring Way™ Teen Workshop

The Daring Way™ program is a 6 session workshop for teens aged 14-18 led by Certified Daring Way Facilitator-Candidate Christina Burden, LPC at Mind Works.

This group will provide an instruction manual for shame resilience: how to identify shame when you are feeling it and strategies to move through it, while learning necessary lessons in releasing the constricting and limiting effects of shame.

The Daring Way™ curriculum will help participants to develop clarity around their own personal values and make connections between those values and their daily behavior.

Participation in this group will provide social support for living authentically and will build skills for developing real and deep relationships with people in your life.

Engaging in this process will be a safe and supportive practice space for self-compassion, being curious about your emotions and thoughts, and writing your own ending to your story.

Curriculum Overview

Questions We Will Answer

1. Who am I? What are my values? What has been my experience with shame in the past?
2. How and where do I strive to live authentically from a place of personal truth and commitment to my values? What behaviors and words do I direct towards self and others and where? In what places in my life do I use these behaviors and words? School, work, friendship, family, etc.?
3. How do I identify people in my life that are also authentic and can support me in my efforts to live authentically from a place of personal truth and commitment to my values? How do I build these relationships and bring more authentic supporters into my circle?
4. When I "Dare Greatly™," I will fail, that is guaranteed. How will I rise again? What is the process that I will use when I experience failure and get up and return to my authentic life?
