Kristina Bona, LPC

Hello! My name is Kristina Bona, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011 and my master’s degree in Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2014. I have worked in the mental health field since graduating with my master’s in counseling, specifically helping children, teens, and adolescents develop strategies in navigating their life as they experience symptoms of Anxiety,
Depression, ADHD, and other Mood Disorders/Mental health diagnosis.

How Can I Help

In my 10 years in the mental health field, I have worked with a wide range of children, teens, and adolescents that have developed symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, ADHD, and other Mental Health diagnosis due to the experiences they have lived. These experiences range from Abuse/Trauma, Bullying, or just the normal stressors of juggling the different hats of being a student, friend, and child in an consistently changing society. My role, as your child’s therapist, is to meet them where they are in their life and help them learn/apply strategies in developing healthy boundaries, emotional regulation skills, effective communication skills, and more. As a I build rapport with you and your child, my goal is to gently push your child’s limits in order to help increase your child’s resiliency, autonomy, and empower them for their future. I believe that every child that comes into my session already has the foundation to be successful in their life and my role is to help build on it, brick by brick.

More about Me

When I’m not working with your child, you can find me relaxing with a book, doing some arts and crafts, listening to music, or hanging out with my friends and family. I absolutely love to travel, lazily peruse around a museum or art gallery, and checking out new food spots, cafes, or bakeries.
